You have typically two steps to install LLVM on your machine.
1.Update your gcc
This step is a must, as llvm installation requires gcc 4.7 or later version. To update gcc, click here
You may also need to update your gdb to version 7.6, if your gdb does not print properly. download http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdb/ following standard steps: download -> decompress -> ./configure–> make –> sudo make install
